Name: Ryan Reagan Class: 2017 State: MA Height: 6’4 Weight: 215 Positions: WR/TE
With the size of a tight end and ability to go over the top like a wide receiver, Ryan Reagan is a lethal weapon. At 6’4 215 pounds, the wide receiver/tight end out of Duxbury High School (Duxbury, MA) can dictate the game as a receiver, run blocker, punter or punt returner, and is a nightmare for the opposition on all fronts. Ryan has been contacted by Boston College, Columbia, and Appalachian State, and has received some interest from schools on Twitter including UCLA, USC, Arizona, and Arizona State, but has not been directly contacted. Ryan is planning on attending the Boston College camp, and is looking for the best opportunity to play at the next level.
After a successful Junior season, Ryan is continuing to work to get better. This offseason, he’s working with one of his coaches Rob Ferreira 5-6 days a week on strength and conditioning. With a rigorous lifting program, Ryan is hoping to get bigger and stronger with hopes to take his game to another level. Ryan also plans on working on his speed and route running in order to make his cuts crisper and gain even more separation. When Ryan isn’t lifting, he’s playing point guard for the Duxbury Basketball Team. Playing basketball allows Ryan to work on constantly getting past defenders, and it transfers on the field as he continuously makes would-be tacklers miss. Football is currently number one for Ryan, but he would be open to playing both basketball and football in college. He not only takes pride in being a two-sport athlete, but he takes pride in being a student athlete as well. With a 3.5 GPA and 21 ACT score, Ryan is productive on the field, on the court, and in the classroom.
With such a large height advantage on smaller corners, Ryan uses his size to create separation, which is a big part of his success. As a big, strong wide receiver that can go up and get the ball, considers himself comparable to Calvin Johnson. Even though he is a big target, that’s not all that stands out for Ryan Reagan. Ryan prides himself on his versatility. He wants all coaches to know he can spread out wide to catch the ball, go to the offensive line and block, influence the game on special teams, and do whatever he can to help his team.
