NORTHEAST GRIDIRON DAILY BLOG:
Name: Blake Hill
With the speed to cover sideline to sideline and the power to stop a player dead in his tracks, Blake Hill is a strong prospect coming out of Milford High School (Milford, MA). At 6’1 and 220 pounds with a 4.53 40-yard dash time, Blake considers himself a Luke Kuechly-esque player, with the size and speed to make an impact on the field. Blake has been invited to College Junior days at both Yale and Columbia, as well as the Yale camp in June. He hopes to attend Rivals camp, and any other camp opportunity he receives.
When he’s not in football season, Blake transitions into baseball season while maintaining the same vigorous workout schedule. Each day consists of practice, lifting, and running to close out the day. While football is number one in Blake’s heart, he believes playing college baseball as well would be a great opportunity.
Blake doesn’t just strive for greatness on the gridiron; he also pushes himself for greatness in the classroom. With a 3.9 GPA, he values his schoolwork just as much as football. . Blake has received letters or school visits from Yale, Villanova, Penn, and Columbia, and plans on visiting Syracuse in the future. Blake wants coaches to know he’s both a student and an athlete, and hopes to get the best education possible while playing at the highest level he can.
One unique trait that Blake possesses is his versatility. Blake’s athleticism allows him to dominate both sides of the ball. His versatility allows him to cover the entire field on defense to “lay the lick” as he would say, and become another weapon for his team on offense. He believes it’s better to affect the game as many ways as possible, and wants to do whatever he can to help the team. Blake assumes he will be recruited as a defensive prospect due to his size, but wouldn’t turn away a chance to play either side of the ball. Wherever he ends up, Blake wants coaches to know he’s focused up, willing to do the best he can, and plans on bringing his favorite part of the game: physicality.
